Float Your Way to Better Health this Flu Season.

In light of the coronavirus, we’d like to take this chance to highlight why now is an even more important time to schedule your float: Immunity. Despite your best efforts, there will always be that one unavoidable time where the body is exposed to some germ or virus. This makes having a strong immune system as important as the steps each of us take to sanitize.

Peak Performance Float and Wellness Center is here to help.

Did you know that as cortisol (stress hormone) goes up immune function goes down? In other words, the more stress you’re under – whether you perceive it or not – the more your immune system is suppressed.

Studies show that even a single float lowers cortisol levels. No longer in “fight-or-flight” mode, the body is able to function at a higher level, better prepared to combat germs and disease. The body’s defense system is further strengthened by the removal of immune-weakening toxins thanks to the Epsom salt in each float tank.

As always, Peak Performance Float & Wellness Center is focused on maintaining a safe and clean facility. We intentionally set aside 2-hours per float, leaving up to an hour between appointments to ensure the cleanliness of each room. Each place of contact is thoroughly cleaned, from light switches and soap dispensers to shower and door handles, both in and around the float tanks (and yoga studio). The water inside each float tank is completely filtered four times between each float using ultra violet filtration, ozone sanitation and hydrogen peroxide.

Did you know that Red Light Therapy boost immunity, too?

Red Light “exercises” your cells.
Being exposed to red and near-infrared light sets off a reaction, similar to exercise, that produces (ATP) energy in the cells. Improving the “fitness” of your cells boosts immunity and wound healing, reduces inflammation and improves cell regeneration. Not a bad use of 10 minutes!

Lastly, and most importantly, if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, please follow up with your physician and be kind to others by staying at home. This helps you recover faster and keeps our community safe. Our team at Peak Performance Float and Wellness Center looks forward to helping you stay healthy. As we always say, “When You Feel Good, You Live Better.”

Be well.
