Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Where Are You located?

We are located at 311A Lennon Lane, Walnut Creek in Shadelands with free, easy parking.  Our driveway is the third driveway on the left on Lennon Lane, just before the sign that says 301-325 Lennon Lane (or after the sign works too).  Then, drive all the way to the back of the parking lot and park near the fence at the back of the parking lot.   Our door faces the fence and our door is an exterior door on the building and to the right of our door is a big red 311A.  If you see 311 without the A, keep driving 🙂  If you have any difficulty, just give us a call at 925-899-8776.

Do I Need To Bring Anything?

We provide showers, towel, shampoo, body wash conditioner, hair dryers, earplugs, vaseline, make up remover pad, ear wash, and an optional head / neck support pillow in each room.  Robes are provided for clients scheduled for light therapy, sauna, or contour red light before or after their float therapy session.  Please be sure to bring a water bottle to hydrate after your float therapy session.  Most people find it comfortable to allow their arms to float naturally by their sides without a head / neck support pillow, but some people find the head / neck support pillow allows them to relax more easily. There is no need to bring a swimsuit or swim cap. This would take away from the floating experience.

Is There Anything I need To Do To Prepare For My Float?

Avoid float therapy within at least a week of coloring or treating your hair or getting a tattoo, avoid shaving or waxing 1-2 days prior to your session, avoid float therapy if you have any open sores or wounds, and avoid float therapy if you are menstruating.

Should I Eat Before I Float?

Avoid caffeine before floating and try to eat a small meal / snack two hours prior to floating so you do not hear your stomach growl during your float:)

Do I have to turn the light off inside the float room or float pod?

No, everything is completely under your control. You get to decide whether you would like the light or music on or off and whether the float room door or float pod lid is open or closed.  You will feel warmer with the lid or door closed or cooler with the lid or door open. You get to decide what works best for you!

What Happens If I Fall Asleep While Floating?

It is totally okay to fall asleep during your float therapy session.  Once you sit down on the bottom of the tank and gently lean back, your feet gently come up and the Epsom salt water solution supports you like the most comfortable bed.  With the 1,000+ pounds of Epsom salt, you float effortlessly on top of the water. Many of our clients fall asleep during their sessions.  The Epsom salt water solution supports you so much that you can safely fall asleep, and lots of our clients do!

Do I Have To Shower Again If I Have Already Showered At Home Before I Float?

Everyone showers both before and after their float session using our specially formulated low-foaming shampoo and body wash. Showering with our products before you float also ensures that germs, make up, oils, lotions, creams, and the like are removed, helping to maintain the pristine quality of the water.

How Often Should I Float?

For those seeking, stress, pain, or insomnia relief, we always recommend scheduling at least one float a week for 8 weeks to get started and discover the weekly float advantage. The benefits of float therapy are definitely cumulative, both physically and mentally.   Read more.

Can I keep the door or lid to the float tank open?

Yes, everything is completely under your control. You get to decide whether you would like the light or music on or off and whether the float room door or float pod lid is open or closed.  You will feel warmer with the lid or door closed or cooler with the lid or door open. You get to decide what works best for you!

Do you accept HSA/FSA Debit Cards?
